thoughtful Dream passengers

I had my driver's license and Sail n' Sign card in a holder on a lanyard, floating in the Caribbean Sea at Mahogany Bay, Honduras on the Carnival Dream about two weeks ago....

looked at my holder and noticed my driver's license had floated away. Gone.

I notified security guards who said since Dream was the only ship in port, any found items would be taken onboard before departure. I notified Guest Services on the ship. By midnight, no one had called me about my driver's license.

Wondrous event: kids snorkeling had found it, given it to adults who put it in their beach bag, and didn't unpack the beach bag until mid-morning on the next (sea) day....surprise phone call to my cabin, and the license was returned to me! How lucky was that? [it's a 15 hour drive home and we needed to do it all that Sunday of arrival back in NOLA.]

What wonderful fellow passengers!!!!!

Moral of the story: photocopy your driver's license and buy a very secure holder if you take it to the beach.
