gehrandt Posted November 11, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2007 After reading reviews on Days Inn North Airport thought I would try bidding on Price line. Would really love the Sofitel - does anyone know how to tell which hotel you might be getting with Priceline - Or how many stars they rate the Sofitel? Need 6 rooms (ouch). Oakville Posted November 12, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2007 I used Hotwire at the 4 stars level and got the Sofitel. There is a good website called betterbidding.com that assists Priceline and Hotwire bidders and this may be of help to you.
gehrandt Posted November 12, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted November 12, 2007 When I used Hotwire they kicked me off to Hotel.com because we need 6 rooms - their cheapest room rate for 4* was over $200 each. Will try both when we get closer to Jan I guess - just in case. tks

I don't think you can book more than four rooms at a time with priceline or hotwire. You may want to try booking four and two or three and three but you take the chance that your group will be split. January is peak season and depending upon WHEN in January you might not find any rooms at all. If the cheapest on Hotwire is $200 you can bet prices will not fall.
