Jewel of the Seas casino needs help

Our only frame of reference for a ship casino was the smaller ship's one on the Enchantment of the Seas. It was far superior to the Jewels. On enchantment I don't remember any slots being down and they were all ticket in, ticket out.

They also had a bank of slots that were tied together for a bonus and about six people joined together on that-lots of fun. Enchantment also had a $2 virtual blackjack game. Jewel did not have a bank of slots for a bonus, nor the virtual blackjack game. Some slots were not working, some were half installed so not working, some still gave out quarters, some gave out tickets. On two cruises on Enchantment I was able to earn enough points to get two nice shirts at the end of the cruise. On the Jewel I had no way earned enough for one as many of the machines that did work did not accept the sea pass card. For as nice as the Jewel is in lots of areas the casino needs a major update.

Sorry to hear this - we are going on Jewel B2B the end of February and we will not be happy if the machines won't take our cards. Jewel was fine last time we were on in 2010. Since we belong to Club Royale, we count on the comps from the machines to help with the next cruise. I hope they do something about repairs before then.

bjohio,

I'm sailing on the Enchantment on Jan. 5th. What was the action like at the craps table? Was the table packed most of the time or was the play fairly subdued. I was on the Carnival Miracle last month out of New York and I was the only regular craps player on the ship. I probable got in close to 100 hands during the week.

Going on the jewels of the sea Saturday. I have not gone on RCCL since 2009 I win free cruises and drinks on CCL. So do they have that type of program? Can I get free drinks while in the casino. Do they keep track of points.i usually have on a 7 day at least 6-7 000 points, I just need info.

Not much action at all on the craps table on the Enchantment. Odds not very good so why play it?

You need to average approx. 300 points a day to become a member of their VIP Club Royale program which will include free drinks in the casino and many other perks alone the way. If you are averaging 6-7000 points on a 7 day sailing, you should be invited to join their program within a few days and they will hand you some coupons for free drinks. You should talk to a Casino Host once the casino opens up for additional info. Royal does keep track of your points provided you use your sea pass when playing the slot machines. When you insert your sea pass in a slot machine, it will turn green and indicate your name, if it is red, it is not recording your play.

Once they invite you to join their program you will be eligible for cash back $ on your next cruise which can be used in the casino or you can use the money to pay towards your next sailing on RCI. As far as a free cruise, that would depend on how big a gambler you are in the casino. RCI will also give discounts when booking future cruises through Club Royale and many other perks. If you are playing on the tables, ask them to rate you. Royal does have slot tournaments and if they have enough players in the tournament, they will offer a free cruise.

Effective March 15 2015, Club Royale will now be changing their benefits or perks for their VIP Club Royale members. What we do know is that they will no longer issue cash backs and any cash back that you have earned would have to be used by March 15 2015. Club Royale will have more info on their new benefits sometime in January of 2015.

Wishing you good luck in the casino!

If you are betting $50 a hand at Blackjack, or $25 a spin on roulette and or playing higher than $3 per spin on slots, you will more than likely get invited to become a VIP member.

You need to be playing in the Casino 4+ hrs a day which will factor into your rating considerably. If you are wanting free cruises and upgrades and all the nicer perks.

It is invitation only as already quoted, so make sure you inform Casino Manager that you want to be rated.

On Jewel in 44 days time so interested to see how these slots are playing.

Happy Days!
