Tafatafa or Matavera beach for port of Apia, which is better for snorkeling?

Does anyone know about beaches of Tafatafa or Matavera from the port of Apia? We have a choice of two tours, one goes to Tafatafa and the other to Matavera. What I would like to know which is better for snorkeling? Thanks in advance for any help. Joan

Don't get your hopes about snorkelling here - there is a marine reserve called Palolo Deep Marine Reserve to the east of Apia but that's not really worth the effort. Around the island the best beaches are on the south coast but the island of Upolu isn't really a snorkelling place at all.
