Sccoter in a taxi in Antigua?

Hi all

Do you know if there are taxis in Antigua that can accommodate a scooter? We are only looking to go to Valley Church beach. Dad can walk on the beach but he can't walk from the ship to where the taxis pick you up.

If you are wanting a taxi with an accessible lift or ramp than the answer is no.

If it's portable travel mobility scooter that folds such as the Luggie or a one that can easily breakdown such as one of the Pride Go Go Models that can fit into a trunk and your father can transfer in/out of vehicle than a regular should be OK.

It fits in the back of his small SUV. Guess we will see what happens.

Not a direct answer to your question but this may be an option. My sister and I did an excursion in Jamaica this summer. Her scooter couldn't go on the "accessible" tour bus so we simply left it with the people who were in charge of the tour at the port. We felt comfortable doing this since it was a RCL-sponsored excursion. It was there waiting for us when we returned from the tour.
