Free trolley in San Juan

Starts outside of the bus station downtown San Juan, goes to the 2 forts (downtown) and back to the starting point. It is free, trolley stops are marked, each of the 2 cars probably seats 30 and when all seats are occupied, you have to wait for the next one.

I took my elderly parents on 2 trips around Old San Juan in the trolly. They loved it, good opportunity to see the city instead of on foot.

We will be there in March and my 93 y/o mother will be on a scooter. Is there anyplace safe to leave the scooter? We wanted to take the trolley to the 2 forts and back. Just not sure how we can see the forts otherwise. Any suggestions?
