Mariner and Krosa

The captain has decided to leave Shanghai at 7:00 am instead of 1:00 pm to avoid meeting the storm head-on. I am sure this is the right decision, but it is disappointing to lose additional port time. Because of the pod problems, I estimate we have already lost about 20% of our port time.

Regardless, this has been a fantastic cruise. Right now, we are docked opposite the Shanghai Pearl TV Tower and within sight of the Bund. The river has an incredible amount of traffic and is quite a show to watch. Huge quantities of sand are being brought up the river I assume for Shanghai construction.

I highly recommend the Mariner.
