Want an island tour

I am a non-swimmer so any water activity is out for me. I am not even into the beach scene. :o I have only been to Tortola once many, MANY, years ago. I would love to go back and see the island again. I can do a tour thru the ship (Serenade the in end of Feb) but I know is it usually better with a private tour operator.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

Hi Razl,

Yes Tortola is a beautiful island to see, and the views of the bays and other islands are gorgeous as well. I'm sure any tour would be enjoyable, But you are right that doing this on your own can be more enjoyable and less expensive, and there is no risk of missing the ship.

You will find drivers at the dock who provide nice 3 - 4 hr tours at very reasonable rates, about $25pp. You should be able to fine one that doesn't include a beach stop, although if interested in seeing the oldest continuously-operating rum distillery in the Caribbean the Callwood distillery is located in Cane Garden Bay, along with a couple good sopots for a lunch like Myett's and Tony's.

The gals at the visitor center can help direct you to a driver that fits your needs.

Enjoy!
