Well I can't wait to go on the Thomson Spirit in August on the 16. I am driving my mum and I up there the day before and staying in a premier inn over night. So when we join the ship we can enjoy the sail away party that night whoop whoop. It's going to be awesome :D

Hi there, we are on the same cruise :) Also thinking about staying in a travelodge/premier inn the night before to have a look around Newcastle. Can't wait!

We are going from Harwich on the 26th August, so keep the ship nice for us and don't drink the bar dry :D

Just looked that up myself because of the Newcastle sailing as we are on Fire and Ice from Harwich. Looks like a run via Amsterdam to get from Newcastle to Harwich for us.

i went on one once years ago (mini cruise/stag do) on cunard, ship was full of stag/hen do's but there was more refined activities going on in other parts of the ship (which we did our best to not intrude on....a bit)

is it acceptable for a group of grown men dressed in orange leotards to turn up at the classical duo bar demanding pints of snakebite in the middle of a recital....er...no its not....apparently?:o

I have done a few mini cruises to Bruges in the past, in ferries, but didn't drink until we could get the wonderful Belgian beers.

The Amsterdam Experience must replace the overnight repositioning cruise from Newcastle to Harwich which I believe cost about £100 last year. It may have included the coach back to Newcastle, cannot be sure.

Will try not to drink the bar dry lol. but cant promised it :D
