Some friends spent time on Barbados and said that when we are there for the day on the cruise to go to Chicken Rita’s. Where is it? Is it in Bridgetown or some where else? If not in town, how do we get there..bus/cab? Is there anything else to do around were her place is?

Chicken Rita’s is down at Silver Sands in Christ Church. About 8-9 miles SE of the Harbour where you dock.

Probably a US$20 taxi ride one way. As I remember busses do no go to that area so it’s probably a taxi ride.

Chicken Rita’s has great chicken but you’ll probably wait 1-2 hours for it as it is cooked to order.

There isn’t really anything close to see in that immediate area so it’s a destination into itself.

This is more of a stop for visitors staying a week, or so.

I suggest that you try the Barbados flying fish cutters (sandwiches). They are plentiful close to B-town and perhaps best in the small rum shops dotting the island.

Have a great adventure! :)
