Sandi149 Posted November 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2006 Hubby and I will be on a cruise to San Juan next June and I am trying to plan everything out. I have a few questions. 1. We will be on Carnival so where does the ship dock? Is it right in Old San Juan? 2. If it docks in Old San Juan, is the pier within walking distance of El Morro or would we need to take a cab? 3. Any recommendations for nice restaurants to eat in the old section? Any info that you can give me is greatly appreciated. :D Thanks,
countryside Posted November 11, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2006 1. We will be on Carnival so where does the ship dock? Is it right in Old San Juan? Docks at pier #4 in old san Juan 2. If it docks in Old San Juan, is the pier within walking distance of El Morro or would we need to take a cab? If you dont mind a possible 1/2 hour walk up hill, go for it. You go right through the town Cabs are available at the terminal and they have a free shuttle bus. 3. Any recommendations for nice restaurants to eat in the old section? Cafe Puerto Rico by Plaza Colon Mofongos in front of pier #3 Jibaritos on Sol street For information on possible tour recommendations check out www.***** click on sightseeing and then on expert also go by pier @ 2 for a complimentary rum drink at the don q rum store
