Thomson Dream As Expected by carryoncruising This was our 6th cruise on the Dream and the 3rd Transatlantic so we knew exactly what to expect. The ship is showing signs of her age (30) and the lifts are worse than I remember. However, none of this detracted from what was essentially a wonderful cruise. Food in Orion restaurant was terrific and not once were we pressurised to pay for speciality restaurants. (Have used them in the past and they are good). We ate in Lido only twice on returning from shore excursions and were perfectly happy with the food on offer. Continue reading...As Expected

 

 

Britannia Good but not Great by bushfish Alcoholic drink prices were generally excellent, much, much cheaper than other ships I have sailed on, in fact very competitive with pub prices in the UK particularly with draught beers and lagers and a vast array of spirits and bottled beers. I also was happy with shore excursion prices which were good value and offered a great variety of opportunities to experience local attractions, with the added safeguard of not missing the ship an extra benefit. Riviera What's not to like... Oh yes, the cookies! by Kristal Blade The highlights on board for us were the concierge facility, speciality dining restaurants and the lovely staff. We had a cabin on deck 9, just a short walk to the laundry and concierge. We used all of the specialty restaurants, our favourite was Red Ginger and we paid extra for a night at La Reserve for a 7 course extravaganza with wine matched to each course. That was wonderful.
