Seaweed Problem

Not sure if anyone has already posted this but I just read this article on yahoo about how bad the seaweed is all over the Caribbean right now. I'm leaving on Sunday for a South Caribbean cruise out of San Juan heading to St. Thomas, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and St. Marteen. Anyone have any info on how the seaweed is at these destinations?

I read St Maarten is bad, so is the Yucatan and the Bahamas, but didn't see anything about the southern parts. I also read it is mostly east and south facing beaches. What a headache though.
