Anyone done Discover Scuba on NCL?

Has anyone done the discover scuba excursion on NCL? Any and all comments would be appreciated.

I've done a discover scuba with NCL but not on Cozumel. We did it on St. Maarten. What would you like to know?

Thanks! Is it kid friendly (says ages 10 and up are ok)? Do they take you to a pool facility to teach you the ropes, or is it all done at the dive site (beach)?

Is the instruction adequate, or did you find it lacking?

Would you recommend for a novice child looking for a dive experience?

We found it easy. The instructions, while shorter than we expected, were adequate and there was enough one on one time with the instructor to get us used to the equipment. We did the learning onshore in a beachfront building and then went out in the boat for a quick "test" and then we dove for about 30 minutes. I would think with a child they would give them extra attention. Being that it is a discovery course, they are used to first timers. We snorkel a lot and while we liked the dive, we will stick to snorkeling because of the ease, cost and time it takes to dive. If your child is a good swimmer and likes the water, they should do fine.
