Currency for Orient Beach and how to pay Bernard

I hate that search is not working. I have two questions:

1. Do we need Euros to buy lunch and get lounge chairs on Orient Beach?

2. Bernards Tours requires $5 upfront deposit. I assume this needs to be charged to a credit card. Once you get there, how do you pay the difference? Do you pay your driver in cash?

Both sides of the island will accept US currency with no trouble. The "french side" will list prices in euro and US.

We just did a Bernard's tour a couple of weeks ago. We used Paypal for our deposit. Bernard was there at the beginning of the tour and we paid the rest of the cost of the tour in cash. We tipped our driver at the end of the tour.
