PETER M Posted April 19, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2008 In May, our ship will be docking at the Tower bridge. Can an experienced transit user recommend what Bus routes we would take to get to Harrod's on Brompton Rd. and where transfers would be made ? Thank You for any help. ab0si Posted April 19, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2008 http://www.tfl.gov.uk/modalpages/2605.aspx very nice site. Transport for London did this right. now, if only The Tube wasn't in such poor repair...) Paul
Albert Ross Posted April 19, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2008 The easiest way is from Tower Bridge walk down the road to Tower Hill tube station. Catch the District line westbound direct to South Kensington. From here it is a short walk to Harrods. If you really want to catch a bus then catch the #15 from Tower Hill to Marble Arch and then #74 from Marble Arch (the stop is actually around the corner on Park Lane) down to Harrods. It will take some time but if you are on the top deck you will get a pretty good sightseeing tour!
PETER M Posted April 20, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted April 20, 2008 Thanks Paul & Albert. Your tips and are great and a big help. Transport for London has a great bus map of Central London and Tourist Attractions that will be invaluable and will make getting most places easy. I've printed copies to take with us.
