Quito Day Tour to Mindo

We are so glad we were able to spend the day with Jamie and Angela from LetsGoToEcuador.com, who picked us up from the Marriott and then drove us to Mindo. They were fun and courteous and responsive to our requests (including coffee and bathroom stops and getting back to town in time for a restaurant reservation). We enjoyed our visit to the little folklore/equator museum near the Middle of the World monument (Not where the Celebrity tour goes), the overview of a dormant crater (now a farming area), the hummingbird sanctuary (up close and great picture taking opportunities) and the tour of the chocolate making place (they show you everything from the trees, the pods right through the final product)- we ate lunch there and had chicken with chocolate sauce and the best hot chocolate ever. Also the best homemade ginger ale ever. Jamie and Angela gave us lots of information about Ecuador and their prices were reasonable. I heartily recommend this tour.
