dcourt Posted July 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2006 Does anyone know how far it is to Dunn's River Falls. We are thinking of doing that on our own instead of an excursion that wants to take us to places we don't want to go. Also, has anyone taken a cab to Dunn's River Falls and how much did it cost???? Thanks in advance for your responses.
TheWog Posted July 6, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 6, 2006 I'd say just a bit less than 10 mins. Too far to walk. Sorry, I haven't taken a cab. Many local tour guides will do only what you ask of them for the day. We used Peat and he accomodated all our requests and didn't take us anywhere we didn't want to go. Just a thought that you should contact a few and see what they say. If you use a cab, make sure it says JUTA on it. They are gov't regulated. Also, agree on a price BEFORE you get in and ask if he will return to pick you up.
Host Caroline Posted July 7, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 7, 2006 If you just want to go to the Falls I'd go the cab route... and not bother with a "tour".. about 10 minute ride, the JUTA sign on the cab etc. Not a fan of Jamaican cabs but this worked fine
