Avalon Luminary Cruise: Getting on board without a packet?

We've booked the Avalon Central European Experience cruise on July 25, and have plane reservations booked July 23 to depart for Europe. It's all been paid for by credit card charges from Avalon/Globus, and we have the Avalon confirmation number, along with airline confirmations.

Alas, we haven't gotten the packet (tickets + documentation?) from our travel agency. Calls there go to an answering machine. Yes, this doesn't sound good.

Supposedly the flights are E-tickets. If we manage to get to Europe, is it likely that we can get into the cruise/tour using just our passport ID, without any of their paperwork?

Avalon/Globus has been in business around the world for over 80 years, and assuredly can handle any problem caused by a "missing" TA.

You can call them at 877-797-8791 or email them from their web site: avalonwaterways.com.

They can ship your docs by FEDEX or UPS in 24 hours.

I don't think you will have a problem with the documentation, as they didn't even ask for it when we checked in at the hotel. You do need to know which hotel they are using for check-in, since they do not know where the ship will dock before hand. They take you by bus to the ship about 3:30 pm in the afternoon. They give you your key and that is all there is to it. You can give them a credit card anytime during the cruise. What city is your cruise departing from? I would call Avalon to find out the hotel. We received our documents about 3 weeks prior to sailing. You will love the ship and the staff. Our cruise director Nancy was great. Good luck! pat
