Dominican republic in february 2016

My sister,Brother and I will be pulling into port for a quick day and would like some advise on whet to do. I have never been here and don't know where to start. We love the water. We are going whale watching in Grand Turk so maybe snorkling? Anyone have any suggestions?

We will be at Amber Cove. I guess it is a new port so don't know what is around this port

Amber Cove does not open until October. There is another port in DR which may have some of the same excursions so if you find similar ones listed on the excursions for Amber Cove you may be able to do a quick check on those. Otherwise, I think we are all waiting until October to see what those who have gone have to say.

There was a great USA Today article recently posted on one of the other threads showing pictures and the port appears to be beautiful with lots to do right there.

We are going next April so I will be watching the threads carefully myself!
