guarantee cabins experience anyone?

We are thinking of an August cruise on the Norwegian Spirit from Venice to Barcelona. Just in the last few days the prices have jumped, and now almost anything reasonable is a guarantee cabin. Has anyone had experience with this and how bad it could get? We want an outside room.

there are several types of guarantee cabin programs. some guarantee a specific category as the minimum and some just guarantee you get a cabin.

If you are wanting something specific like an outside or a balcony make sure it is a category minimum type.

I have had good luck with guarantees the couple of time I used them.
