BaumD Posted June 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2017 For anyone who has been on QofW, Clarkston to Portland this year (2017). Itinerary sent by ACL says we stop in Stevenson on Tuesday morning. Tracking the ship online for the past few cruises, the ship stopped at Hood River instead of Stevenson. Any explanation? Did you still go to the Falls? BaumD Posted June 20, 2017 Author #2 Share Posted June 20, 2017 She's in Hood River again today, not Stevenson as scheduled. I called ACL and asked and they had no clue that their ship wasn't where it is supposed to be.
BaumD Posted July 17, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted July 17, 2017 Since nobody was able to answer, I thought I would give my own answer as I just returned. Turns out both the Queen of the West and the American Pride are both scheduled for Stevenson on Tuesday for a trip to Multinomah Falls. As the Pride is a bigger ship it goes to Stevenson and the Queen goes to Hood River. No room for two boats in Stevenson. The Pride is too big for the Hood River dock. You still go to the Falls, but it is about 20 miles further away and a longer bus ride. Both groups were at the Falls at the same time and we almost had a Pride passenger go back on the bus with us, but they caught her mistake before the buses left the falls.
