US DIRECT v. Customs Hall in Vancouver

The YVR airport site re. Embarking Cruise Ship Passengers states those meeting certain criteria can bypass the usual trip to Canada Customs Hall.

If anyone has experience with this &/or Canadian Customs would you please let me know? Leaving in 3 Days! :) Thanks so much!
