Luggage Carts Heathrow

If I arrive in Terminal 3 and transfer to Terminal 5 with luggage to go to the Sofitel Hotel and take the Heathrow Express are there luggage carts that you can use until you get on the train?

Yes, there are lots of trolleys (carts). And they're free. And it should all be capable of being done step-free, using lifts (elevators) at both ends.

However, it's a reasonable walk from the terminal to the station at the Terminal 3 end. And you can't take the trolley right onto the platform at either end, so there will be a need to lift and/or carry and/or wheel your luggage for some tens of feet at those points.

At the Terminal 5 end, once your stuff is on a trolley, I think you should be able to wheel it all the way to hotel reception, although I can't be certain about that.
