Lots of chatter taking place about Good Friday.It is a National Holiday on St. Maarten .Answer is Beaches never close,Restaurants never close and some of the stores will be closed but all stores at the cruise terminal and the open market in Marigot remain open..

According to the Law on Shop Closure (Article 3), the aforementioned is not applicable to the following businesses: Pharmacies, as far as it concerns the sale of medicine and medical products; Bars and restaurants; Hotels and guesthouses; Stores located in hotels and on airport and harbor premises; Funeral parlors; Gas stations; and bakeries selling pastries, milk and milk products,” the ministry stated in a press release.
