Port of Tampa

I tried to search but didn't find much. I cruised out of Tampa about 8 years ago and don't remember much and even if I did things have probably changed, but I will be sailing out of Terminal 2 and was wondering what security was like getting on the boat. Is it like FLL where every 12 pack of soda is checked and water shaken or is it like Miami where they just say come on through. I'm not going to smuggle anything just find it annoying when they cut open a case of water to shake them all and just tape it back shut. Just curious how strict they are when boarding. Thanks, I know the ports right around the corner but I usually go out of Miami for better itineraries and ships but I'm excited to go back on the pride after the 2.0 upgrades. Thanks again

It's totally hit or miss even in the same port. Last time out of Tampa, they did cut open our pack of water and they didn't tape it back shut. They cut open our pack of water in Miami, also.
