Bean8800 Posted January 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2006 We will be on the Pride 1/29....any ideas for kids age 3 & 5 for these 2 ports? I'd love to find a resort that has a kid pool (or shallow pool) and food/drink service, or just a great beach with food/drink service...... Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Bob7 Posted January 26, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2006 Hey Bean yer almost out of here! The kids will love the big tanning mattresses in the cabanas at the Melia resort in Cabo, free for cruisers. And there are big outdoor pillows to flop on and play with on the mattresses, and a great beach. Just watch they don't spill yer drink. And the El Cid Castilla in the Golden Zone outside Maz is very nice, kids pool, waterfall, great beach, free for cruisers. A $10 cab from the ship, and they'd get a kick out of taking a pulmonia cab, the open air ones, same price. Timeshare ppl at the dock and in the lobby will offer you free cab, lunch, drinks to attend the speech, no way the kids would sit through that :-(( and not necessary, just say no. Walk through the lobby to the pools, get loungers, and tell the waiter you are paying cash as day users. You can get towels at the pool desk if you leave some ID. -Bob

Bob7 Posted January 27, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2006 Oh, and I remember seeing kids have a ball playing under the pool waterfall at the El Cid. It's not shallow there, but they had those inflatable waterwings around their upper arms so their parents didn't need to hold them all the time. There are nice palapas (thatched umbrellas) with loungers on the El Cid beach, and the waiter will go out there to serve you. Get a spot behind the rope barrier to avoid the bazillion vendors. They can come inside the rope if you invite them to do a service like hair braiding or to look at what they're selling. Same rope at the Melia in Cabo. The cliff divers take forever, more hype than diving, boring for kids to wait (and for adults).
