Passport Question

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I did a search and didn't come across anything.

My daughter recently turned 18 and her child passport is set to expire in 02/2015. We are booked on a Carib cruise in Nov. It just occurred to me that some countries have an entry requirement of 6 months expiration on your passport. I entered all the dates for Web check in online, and it didn't flag anything, but I'm wondering if any of you have any insight/advice as to whether we need to renew, or if her current passport should be fine for now.

Ports to be visited are SJ and Philipsburg.

OK.. hopefully this is helpful to anyone who does a search later on:

Passports:

To enter St Maarten, a passport valid for at least six months beyond departure is required by nationals referred to in the chart above.

And the US is in the chart... but no visa required.

No. Cruise ship pax are considered "in transit" so their passport only needs to be valid on their port day. In fact, you don't even need a passport - you can use a passport card, enhanced driver's license, or birth certificate + driver's license.
