I got a ring upgrade last year, shortly after our 16th anniversary.

I named her Lady J (it's traditional to name antique stones) and she's an early modern brilliant probably from the 1930's or 40's. She's big, bold and beautiful!

I love my ring, and being the specific kind of lady that I am- this exact setting and the gemstone I wanted was bookmarked in our shared browser. He picks up on my ever-so-stealthy hints! LOL. I like a classic, simple kind of ring, and the band is a classic knife edge wedding band.

My ring :) it was handed down from my fiancé's mother. I love it because it is very different and looks like a flower.

Oh, I love this thread!! All of you have such beautiful rings!

FI picked out the diamond for mine, and toted it via snowmobile on a long trip up a local mountain where he proposed....it nearly gave my mother a heart attack. When I called her (from the mtn) to give her the news the first thing she said was "He didn't loose that diamond did he?"

I picked out the setting; he wanted to be sure that I got exactly what I wanted.
