B514 - RIB Incident in Olden.

Hi everyone.

Im sure most who were on the Britannia cruise on the Fjords last week were aware of the incident involving the speed boat excursion.

I witnessed all of it and must say it wasn't a nice sight at all.

I spoke to a couple who was on the boat the day after it happened and I had to leave my details to provide a statement.

Does anyone know how the Norwegian driver of the boat is? Last I heard he was in a critical but stable condition.

The young lad who held him above the water for over 15 minutes deserves massive credit for what he did.

Im just still so shocked that ANY boating excursion can be allowed out without life jackets. (I know this wasn't booked through P&O but the P&O RIB excursion was exactly the same)

Thankyou.

We saw this from our balcony it was horrible, the guy was blue when they pulled him out of the water and I was surprised when they said he was stable in hospital as I thought he was dead :(. Also saw someone else holding onto the back of a boat near the motor in the water and the driver hadn't noticed him, luckily he was spotted and didn't get hurt:
