AnnaLisaOne Posted September 19, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2008 I am hoping to make it to Alaska next year on NCL's Glacier Bay cruise. Would love to interact with the huskies and take a bobsled ride. I know there are two cities in Alaska that offer this. Can anyone out there tell me which one is the best? Many thanx! :) "Oceans of love with a kiss on every wave."
AndreaS1024 Posted September 19, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2008 The one day that we were supposed to go on the dog sled, it got canceled due to the weather. HOWEVER, while in Denali, we went to Jeff Kings house. The tour was called Husky Homestead and there we were able to interact with the puppies. When we first got there they handed us all a puppy we took pictures and then they taught us about the dogs and then we went into this little barn room and Jeff came out and spoke with us. It was a lot of fun.
Budget Queen Posted September 20, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 20, 2008 Bobsledding and dog sledding are very different tours. :) No bobsledding inside passage. Your two ports are Juneau for cart rides or glacier dog sledding, Skagway, 2 cart ride options and the fly in glacier dog sledding.
