skybosun Posted February 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Still planning to book Spirit Aegean Titans for end of March. Tempted to semi treat ourselves and get Deluxe cabin which books says are on decks 6, 7, and 8. Noticed that on deck 6 the windows look directly out on to the promenade deck. Local TA said they had had complaints that curtains had to be drawn to prevent nosey promenaders from looking in. However, rang Thomsons customer services and they said that the windows on that deck were one-way glass so you could see out but no one could see in. I know that without paying the extra fee for reserving a specific cabin then its pot-luck as to what deck of the three you are allocated. Has anyone got experience of deck 6 and would they like to comment? thanks.

happy v Posted February 27, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2017 We've stayed on deck six and if given the choice I would prefer seven or eight. This is mainly because all the chairs are stacked up on deck six and if the ship is rolling at all they tend to bang against the wall.
stelin34 Posted February 27, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2017 Hi skybosun if you book a 3-4 outside there are 4 cabins on deck 6 that look out onto lifeboats you only need to pay £42 to pic cabin . They are midship and large . Sent from my iPhone using Forums
skybosun Posted March 1, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted March 1, 2017 Many thanks for all the feedback folks. We decided to go for Majesty doing Island Explorer in mid March as we thought the weather might be a bit kinder in the Canaries than the Aegean. Booked a OS Plus on 6/7 and guess what! I see that's also where the promenade deck is. Seem to be destined to be near the promenaders. Thanks again
