ship time vs local time

Does anyone who's cruised to Amber Cove know if the Carnival ships change time to match local time there? We are there in Jan on the Breeze and arranging a private tour. Right now eastern time is one hour behind DR time. Last month the times were different on another island and our guide gave up waiting and left, thank goodness the locals helped us track him down.

Thx.

Just got back, can answer my own question ... on the CCL Breeze we stayed on ship time, so local time was 1 hour later. So ppl booking private tours told them to pick them up one hour later (local time) than when they planned to walk off the ship.
