Connecting Pacific Access Chanel to Gaillard Cut

While we wait for the completion of the repairs for the leaks, this short video shows the initial blasting that begins the removal of the earthen barrier that separates the Pacific Access Channel from Gaillard Cut (Gatun Lake). There is still a temporary dike across the PAC which is closer to the new Pacific Locks that will also be removed later to completely connect the new locks with Gaillard Cut.
