Sons birthday in San Juan

We are traveling on the sunshine sept 20 and we will be in port on my sons 18th birthday. What is there to do that would make it memorable. I know he will want to drink but don't want the entire day consumed by it.

The Harbor Brewery is a fun place, and beer is not as strong as hard liquor. Also, Medalla, the most popular Puerto Rican beer is a lite beer, so it's a good start if you want to introduce him to drinking.

I think it's Rocaliza that offers a rappelling (sp?) excursion. Looks pretty exciting to me, and it's not something you can do everywhere.

He may want to do a cooking class. Lots of options in San Juan.
