Looking for a relaxing day at the beach...

Any suggestions for a great beach day? i am going on the Norwegian, looking for a day at the beach. Do not want to watch low flying airplanes. Someone told me to take a cab to Simpson Bay. Any input would be great! By the way is it safe in the area?

Grab a cab (~$10 pp each way) and go to Orient Beach. Many places to grab a lounger and beer...

Simpson Bay beach is a long lovely stretch of beach. There is a beach bar named Karakter that offers free chairs and umbrellas to patrons. The food at Karakter is excellent and to me being served on china plates and real glass well it makes the food and drinks taste even better.:D

Karakter fronts on the beach but the back is next to the end of the airport runway.

I have driven in and walked in and around this area many times in the day without any problems.
