I've never stayed there personally when in New Orleans, but it's on Bourbon Street so it could be a bit noisy at times.... If that's an issue, you should be able to request an interior or courtyard room. There is lots of information & photos on TripAdvisor if you want to check it out.

Yes, you are on Bourbon Street, but the hotel is very nice.
