Bonaire Diving - Recommended Operators?

Greetings,

My wife and I are visiting Bonaire on the Celebrity Eclipse. We're interested in booking a 2 tank boat dive, but we're looking for some assistance in selecting a dive operator that caters to cruise passengers.

While Celebrity offers a 2-tank dive excursion, our preference is to book our dive(s) independently. Based on past experience, independent dive operators have tended to be less crowded and a bit more personal in their service level. That being said, does anyone on this CruiseCritic board have experience booking a dive on Bonaire as part of a cruise vacation? Are there any specific dive shops you'd recommend?

Lastly, our preference is to book with an operator that does boat dives rather than shore dives. We have a certain comfort level with boat dives, that we don't have with shore diving. Any recommendations?

Hi. We were in Bonaire at Christmas and used Harbor Village. It's about 10-15 minutes from the cruise port. They have 1 tank dives at 3 different times, 8:30, 10:15 and 2. These may work as each dive site is super close to the resort. They even have shore diving. We loved them! Very nice resort. Quiet. Good food for lunch.

We spent a week in Bonaire last year - all shore diving (it was amazing). That said, we heard good things about Dive Friends and we'll likely use them on our next trip to Bonaire later this year.
