Carnival VAlor waitlist questions

I just put a deposit to be waitlisted for a last minute anniversary cruise for my husband and I. The cruise departs Thursday (it's Monday now), and we are second in line. I'm wondering what are chances are, and if prices will be outrageous (the CCL agent could not give me a ball park). I am trying to decide weather I need to start dealing with the childcare arrangements, if I shouldn't bother....

The prices should normally be the lowest of the low this late.

I have no idea as to your questions, but I'm so curious to hear if you get a spot! We're on that sailing, a SAHM girls trip, and we are so excited to go on Thursday!!
