Jamaican Scavenger hunt

I know this is a bit of an odd question.. But on the Carnival forum we were talking about putting together a scavenger hunt for our families. I am wanting to make it a week long thing, and include our ports. I have a ton of general ideas, but looking for something that is Jamaican specific.

So far I have:

Jamaican flag

Rasta hat

That's it. LOL When we get to port, we'll be taking a cab to Drs Cave, doing Margaritaville, and possibly Pork Pit - if we walk down that far. Any other ideas that would be good for Jamaica that is in that area? (Either things to take pictures of, like above, or things they can participate in and get a picture/video.) I thought about adding drug deal, :rolleyes: but my kids probably don't need to be on the look out for drugs. :eek:

My daughter plans on getting 1-2 braids put in her hair. I don't know why I didn't think of that!

My list is REALLY long, and still needs a lot of tweaking. We'll be playing it over the course of the whole week... But I'm happy to share. It's also divided up by categories (People on ship, pictures of items, pictures with you in them, and items to actually collect)

 

Find and take a picture of each of the following:(feel free to add yourself or all of your group into all the photos... not just the ones you HAVE to be in. Memories is what we are making here. :D Plus, if you are included, you may get extra points!! Try to make your photos as interesting and creative as possible. Especially the ones that have the )

 

RULES:

 

1. Find and take a picture of each of the following.

2. Adding yourself to the pictures, when possible, can possibly earn you extra points. Plus it makes more "funner fotos"!! Remember - these are memories we're creating, also!

3. Make your pictures as interesting and creative as possible. Especially if they are pictures we may possibly keep (ex.. pictures of the boats, the ports, pictures with you or your team in them, etc. We probably won't keep that hairy back photo for too long!)

4. If you see another team taking a photo of something on the list, you CANNOT run over, and do the exact same. You have to wait to photograph it at a different time. (ex. Team 1 has found the cruise director, and are taking a picture with him. You have to wait to corner the cruise director at some other time).

5. Many items on this list require you to speak with other passengers. KIDS-- do NOT go knocking on their doors. Find what you need from the friendly people on deck. And if they look drunk - find someone else to talk with.

6. The last list is "items". These are things you must physically acquire - not just take a picture of.

7. Video, video, video. Seriously - if it can make a fun/funny video... get a picture and a video! That might be the push for you to win!

- Something from Fincanarti (he built the ship you're on)

- The funnel (if you don't know what this is... find someone who should know)

- sheet of paper framed that has the maritime laws about dumping trash, food, etc

- ship "coin" (there's a framed coin on your ship. Extra point if you find out WHY it's there)

- the doors to one of the "secret decks"

- the wake.

- the view from the bow, or as close to it as they can get!

- a lifeboat.

- the atrium taken from inside the glass elevators.

- A picture taken in the atrium, pointed straight up!

- inside the library

- decorated door.

- a guitar.

- something with a fish on it

- Something you would not expect to find on a cruise ship (like a bus, or a car, or a motorcycle ...).

- A real wild fish, whale, porpoise, dolphin, or sea turtle. (NOT a stingray... that'd be too easy!)

- A mermaid ...

- A bird on the ship (not flying).

- A pool with no one in it ...

- Any real animal (not a fish...)

- A hallway with no one in it ...

- Piece of pizza

- Sun glasses

- Drink of the day sign

- Bread sculpture

- Golf club

- Something Red

- Sun tan lotion

- ATM

- Ping Pong table

- Picture of the Breeze and another ship

- the goofiest picture in the Photo Center

- The cruise line mascot

- A slot machine with the word "Pirate" on it.

- A room service tray in the hall

- Do Not Disturb/Snoozing sign (NOT from your own cabin)

- Someone stumbling from the movement of the ship

- A bride in gown getting married on board

- Woman with a HUGE hairdo

- Sunglass tan (raccoon eyes)

- Some are bald, or some too hairy. A picture of the hairiest back will be so..... Scary. (sneek a picture of a hairy back)

- Passenger from Australia

- Pedro, the blue chicken (most likely perched on someone's head)

- someone with a head full of braids

- someone getting braids put in their hair

 

 

 

BONUS POINTS:

Take a picture of as many different workers as possible.. The hard part: They must all be from a different country!

 

 

PICTURES WITH YOU IN THEM

- Pic with a member of the fun staff and one (or all) of your team members

- Pic with the cruise director and one (or all) of your team members

- Picture of you with the CAPTAIN of the ship

- A picture of you with at least 3 showgirls

- A picture of one team member eating pizza or some other specific food [maybe an ice cream cone!]

- a team member wearing a chef hat

- Picture of someone on your team boarding the ship

- Picture of your team in front of a sign at every ports (must show the name of the location)

- Picture of you in the water at one of the ports (triple points if you also do a video of y'all doing something fun in the water)

- Picture of you with your cabin steward

- Picture of someone on your team on the Lanai

- Picture of someone on your team standing in front of the Art Studio

- Picture of someone on your team wearing something “goofy”

- Picture of someone on your team doing poolside Zumba (triple points if you add a video)

- Picture of someone on your team playing one of the ship’s games (triple for a video!)

- Picture of your team in the main dining room

- Picture of you on the beach (individually, bonus points if you ALSO get a group shot)

- Picture of you on a ship’s lounge chair

- Picture of you with one of the checker-inners (at the ports of call)

- Picture of you with one of the musicians onboard

- Picture of someone on your team eating at one of the ports of call

- a pic of everyone on their team in the cabin bathroom (should be a tight fit!)

- If you trip and fall and get a Boo-Boo, this is the place that will fix it for you. (Get a picture of yourself at the door to the infirmary)

- Get up on the stage and show us you're a star. You can become an Idol and go oh so far!! (Take a Picure on any of the stages) (video if you are actually DOING something on stage in front of an audience... 5x the points!)

- With all the towel animals they can make, can you make one too even if it looks like a fake? (They had to use the towels in their room to make a towel animal and take a photo of it)

- Go to the Disco an get in the "Groove". Show us a picture Doing all your best moves! (Quadruple points for a video! You can do this with each member in yoru team for even more points)

- Picture of you with a King or Queen

- Someone in your group wearing a rasta hat

- Someone in your group sliding down the Margaritaville slide

- selfie with Big Black Dick (life-size statue of pirate found at various rum stores)

- Plastic fruit holder or umbrella from a drink

- A pen with the Carnival's logo/name on it (bonus if it also says Breeze! Can *NOT NOT NOT* come from your room)

- A short phrase from a crew member who speaks an EXOTIC language (not Spanish, French, or... "regular" foreign langauges).

- Napkin signed by the piano bar pianist

- Name of the people who are staying in cabin across the elevator from you & where they are from

- Drink Of The Day recipe

- An autograph from a honeymoon couple

- A small rock/shell

- A toothpick with fuzzy stuff on one end

- Napkin with a red lipstick kiss – cannot be from someone on your team
