RC has a service where you can pre order Diapers/wipes, etc... and have them be delivered to your stateroom. Does DCL have this? Its always a pain to have to pack them, they take up so much room in the bags.

They used to use Babies Travel Lite, but seems that service has been discontinued. They do sell a limited amount of baby "stuff" in the gift shops, but you can't depend on that.

Suggestion (helps to avoid luggage charges). Use a rental car or towncar/limo service to get to the cruise terminal. Make a stop at Target or Wal-mart and get what you need. If you buy a big bag of diapers, the porters will just slap a label on that. No need to place it in a suitcase. OR fly in the night before (always a good idea) and make a store run that evening.

As to taking up room in the bags....yes, but then as they are used up you have room to add goodies!

Another hint--if you are on a cruise that goes to Key West on the first day, there is a CVS about 2 blocks from the terminal area. You can buy everything you need/anything you've forgotten there. If you have a teen, this can be VERY important.

What a coincidence!

We were just talking about this today.

My daughter came up with a wonderful idea.

We will be flying in the day before our cruise.

She will be ordering diapers (and wipes) from Amazon and having them delivered to the hotel we're staying at.

We've done this with cases of wine before.

You have to call the hotel in advance (BEFORE YOU ORDER!!!!) and make sure they are ok with it.

I should have thought of this too.

You can also purchase your items locally and ship them to the hotel yourself--just be sure to label them with your name as a hotel guest, date of check in, and any other info the hotel requests.

You can actually do this with virtually anything you'll need on the ship that you don't want to take on the plane provided the hotel is OK with it. DCL WILL check the box and deliver it to your room. (remember beverages must be in carry on bags). They just stick a luggage tag onto the box.
