CRUISIN LINDA Posted August 30, 2015 #26 Share Posted August 30, 2015 Oh result!! Thank you. On our recent cruise with Fed Olsen we had to disembark almost as soon as we docked. Our previous cruises with Thomson have been lunchtime flights home so we were not aware of what happens to those on late flights. Was that a Fred Olsen from Britain or one with a flight? Keamma Posted August 30, 2015 #27 Share Posted August 30, 2015 Was that a Fred Olsen from Britain or one with a flight? Thank you - that is great to know. We went from Dover on the Braemer so no flight. Was great as we were travelling with elderly parents and they wanted to go on a cruise but didn't want the hassle of flying so fitted the bill. We went to the Norwegion Fjords.

We have been from Dover on the Braemar, a lovely ship and lovely little port to go from, though not sure what it is like now  I expect that is why you got off early, as you would be making your own way or going on one of their coaches. It is the same with P&O at Southampton. When you are flying you can stay on the ship with Thomson, unlike some of the American lines that turf you off in the morning and you have to either do a trip (to a shopping mall :eek:) or wait all day at the airport.
