sheep Posted December 20, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 20, 2010 Can you suggest any transfers from the port to the city without using princess. They always charge so much but are other transport companies just as expensive.

j2ink Posted December 20, 2010 #3 Share Posted December 20, 2010 You should do a search of the threads on this board. There are several relating your question, and some include information about how to use the bullet train, which takes only about an hour.
velotaco Posted December 20, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 20, 2010 We took the high speed train from the port in Xingan to Bejing. The Tanggu Railway Station station is a fifteen minute taxi ride away and when we got off the ship, there where plenty of people who spoke english to help coordinate the taxis ride. The train is new, luxurious, fast and user friendly. Tickets are sold out of an ATM like Kiosk at the train station. You can choose the english option and use a credit card...too easy. There is a digital speedometer in the cabin. Our top speed was 320kph (200mph). Needless to say, it's a quick trip. There is only one stop along the way in Tianjin and the train arrives at the Bejing South Station where you can hop on the subway to get to your hotel. There is a train to the Airport from Bejing as well. A.There are 5 daily high speed trains running from Tanggu to Beijing. The trains arrive at Beijing Southern Train Station. Tanggu - Beijing C2272 ( 08:29/09:25 ) Tanggu - Beijing C2274 ( 12:14/13:10 ) Tanggu - Beijing C2276 ( 13:44/14:40 ) Tanggu - Beijing C2278 ( 18:14/19:10 ) Tanggu - Beijing C2280 ( 19:59/20:55 ) B.There are 4 daily high speed trains running from Beijing to Tang Gu.
