jackretired Posted May 18, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2012 How accessible are they? Any accessible excursions? Any private accessible excursions? George Town is Tendered. How long of a walk from tender to tour bus?
SnowBird Cruzer Posted May 18, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 18, 2012 Falmouth, being a pretty new port, has great access to the excursion buses. It is flat and concrete the whole way from the ship to the tour buses. I've only been to Georgetown the one time, but... once you get off the tender it isn't far to the excursions area. I don't remember more because I walked down to Eden's rock for snorkeling before my excursion. Cozumel has probably the longest walk along the pier to the excursion and shopping area. Very smooth surfaces, not too many steps, as I recall to get to the excursion area. Buses are in the parking lot after that, so it depends where they park. How long of a walk from tender to tour bus? Would help to know what accessibility requirements your in need of scooters, wheelchair, walker, can you do steps? Haven't been to Falmouth yet Georgetown once off the tenders its roughly 100-150 ft to the street with buses/taxi waiting. cozumel depends on which dock but they are all rather long
jackretired Posted May 19, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted May 19, 2012 I normally use a power chair but can do short distances and small steps with my cane.
