Coconut Cove Hotel FT Lauderdale

Friends recently tried to book this hotel pre cruise & were told it was closed & for sale. Years a go we stayed there & enjoyed the location & casualness.

Does anybody have information about the closing or if its just for renovation?

Sorry it has been sold and is closed for good. Its going to be a corporate hotel for the new owners.

Ah, so this is why they won't respond to emails.

That's too bad - those small hotels are disappearing completely & that it was gay operated and right near the beach !!!!

Years ago we stayed at the Sheraton(now a Weston) and the last couple of years we have stayed at the Ritz Carlton which we love. But there have been getaways w/ no fuss or muss & Coconut Cove fit the bill. I hope the guys that worked there get good jobs - they were quite a crew!

yes after trying to use their online booking & getting no response I finally called & found out they had closed. Too bad - where will you stay instead of CC?

just one night in FLL this time, precruise; Coconut Cove would have been fun (always wanted to stay there). Rates all over are jacked up with all the cruise departures, so found a steal in Plantation. Will have car so no biggie. 10 minutes to a burger at Rosies!
