Flying in from Australia - hotel/transport questions

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We are flying in to JFK on 3rd June at 8:10pm and have booked the Staten Island Hampton Inn and Suites for the 'stay and cruise' special. We are intending to get the free transfer to Cape Liberty on 4th June for our cruise. We will be 2 adults and 2 children - with approx 4 suitcases and 4 cabin bags.

This is the only airport option we have as flights can't be changed. Wondering if people could help with the following questions:

* is this the best hotel option (has breakfast and transfers to port included)

* what is the best way to get from airport to hotel - bearing in mind we will want the quickest as we would've been on the go for about 25 hours and have 2 young children. I have looked at private cars and taxi's and wondering what the best option would be.

Any help would be appreciated

:)

Try a car service such as

http://www.carmellimo.com

or http://www.dial7.com

Expect to pay in the $100 USD and it will probably take 60 minutes or more, give or take.......taxis will be on the meter, at least with a car service you will know the price...

You can contact them via their websites...hope that helps!

You've probably gotten a decent deal for your hotel...if you just are going to stay and not do anything, that's fine. If you want to SEE something, let us know so we can help more...

Not a lot near that hotel to eat, but the Hilton Garden Inn adjacent has a restaurant, and there are places that will deliver pizza, Italian and other choices as well!!

Also, if you need to get BACK to JFK, you can try the same car services...
