Good Beach to take a 6yr (DS) and 12yr (DD) in Progresso?

I'd like somewhere that we won't be hounded the entire time by vendors, just want a place for the kids to enjoy a nice day on a beautiful beach!

We've been to Nachi Cocum in Cozumel and liked that, but maybe looking for a paradise beach type of place with water toys for the kids.

I'm open to a private resort like Nachi if possible too.

Any suggestions?

Rats I see nobody answered your question. We also like Nachi Cocum in Cozumel and am looking for the same type of beach in Progresso. It will be our first time to Progresso so we are also looking for suggestions

Keep reading for your options. Also checkout yucatantoday.com You might want to checkout the all-inclusive Reef Yucatan. It's nice. FYI: Progreso is on the Gulf, not in the Carribbean. The water is not crystal clear but Progreso has many options for your day.

As for the street/beach vendors. This is a very poor community. They are only trying to provide for their families, as most of us would do if necessary.

I understand about the street vendors, but do they hound you to death?

Personally, the vendors have never been a problem for me. Gracias no usually works and they move on. These are pretty gentle people.
