househunter Posted April 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2010 Just noticed a $230/pp price drop on our upcoming Oasis cruise which means a $460 OBC for us!!! Woo hoo! It was a residency rate which wasn't there before. It pays to keep checking rates even if your cruise is only 3 weeks away!!!:)

brownsfan1 Posted April 4, 2010 #11 Share Posted April 4, 2010 If you booked through TA - is it still possible to get the OBC due to price reduction ?
passion?cruising Posted April 4, 2010 #12 Share Posted April 4, 2010 yes, the OBC still happens if you book through a TA. Be sure to contact them to confirm.
moviestar600 Posted April 5, 2010 #13 Share Posted April 5, 2010 yes, the OBC still happens if you book through a TA. Be sure to contact them to confirm. Holy Smokes! I just checked and the price has gone down approximately $470 per person for our cabin. Househunter or Passion?cruisin, what exactly am I asking my TA when I call tomorrow? Are we suppose to get On board credits to make up for the difference in the price drop?

dimepiece814 Posted April 5, 2010 #15 Share Posted April 5, 2010 Thanks for the info. I'm also on the April 24th sailing. I'm in a category D2 balcony room. I will check prices now.
dimepiece814 Posted April 5, 2010 #16 Share Posted April 5, 2010 For my category, D2, it states "Not available online. Please call for availability."
moviestar600 Posted April 5, 2010 #17 Share Posted April 5, 2010 Did you give RCCL a call? Sometimes it says that but they have rooms available in the category
soxfan7 Posted April 5, 2010 #18 Share Posted April 5, 2010 Friends of ours sailing with us got a price drop and they refunded their credit card instead of giving them OBC. We booked through a TA. Either way, they took it!
dimepiece814 Posted April 5, 2010 #19 Share Posted April 5, 2010 I just called Royal Caribbean and there aren't any D categories remaining for the 4/24 sailing.
sailor05 Posted April 5, 2010 #20 Share Posted April 5, 2010 I check almost daily, but I received a residency discount in the first place. I am, however, wiating to see if they discount a better balcony Category and hopefully upgrade for a minimal increase (2 rooms). Does anyone know if they allow this if I've already made my final payment (67 days to go!)?? I have never seen the Oasis on their Tuesday Sales Events.
