Bistro Le Clochard

If you have a late day in Curacao, and are looking for a very nice place that the locals go for dinner, I highly recommend this restaurant. VERY romantic, in Rif Fort, right on the water. Our waiter started speaking to us in Dutch until he realized we were American. Even then, we were treated very nicely and not like a 'tourist'.

They do have a dress code. We went back to the ship to change and then went to dinner. It was AMAZING. We had seafood stuffed crepes, seafood bisque, and then strawberry crepes for dessert. Everything was absolutely divine.

Glad you had a good time at Le Clochard. Did you sit inside or outside on the terrace?

This restaurant is excellent, but pricey. Locals go here primarily when it's a special occasion.

And cruise guests often opt for dinner onboard as Riffort is so close to the ship.

But if you wish to experience fine dining or have something to celebrate Le Clochard is an excellent option indeed.

Our anniversary was the next day, and it was SO worth it. :)

We sat outside, first at the bar, and then to a table overlooking the water when one opened up.

A couple next to us was visiting from Columbia for their 20th anniversary. We knew we were in the perfect spot. :D

Several times we have dined on the terrace and had wonderful evening. Service and food was very good,,,,,, pricey but delicious and the view was like a travel poster. We looked at the pastel gabbled roofs that we see in all travel photos advertising 'Come to Curacao'. :) The sunset was gorgeous but the mosquitos that arrived on the terrace in force were very bothersome. We didn't experience that our first visit but the last time we were there for some reason the bugs were annoying. It prompted us to leave sooner than we might have. Perhaps they needed to have some bug spraying done and we just hit the place before they sprayed.
