Leaving Friday

I am leaving this Friday to spend a few days in New Orleans before I sail out on Monday.

I was just wanting last minute ideas. I want to see the best ruin I can.

So please let me know which one I should go to. I have read all the reviews and they all seem great. I know that I want to take the tour through carnival, the long trip makes me nervous.

So any suggestions, pictures and advice would be great,

I have never been to mexico and do not know what to expect.

How are the people? Will I even encounter native people on a carnival trip? Thank you

Starbright. To me, Uxmal is more impressive, prettier and way less crowded than Chichen Itza. Also, it's a hour and half less time on the bus. I've posted pics on this board of both. Check the tread "Whats to do in Progreso", page two of that thread. Some links didn't work.
